Time for a new series, folks. Haiku, for a change of pace.

Going to try a month with a food theme – trying to help myself toward health. I don’t know where they’ll go – longings, choices, food-lust. Hey – life is a journey. And you have to eat…

  1. Seven deadly sins. Hmm…There should be a modern list with added killers, like drugs, alcohol and over-spending, and it needs accurate reasons; not nasty names that label a person shamefully, instead, why they do what they do with some insight and compassion.
    People choose to do too much of something to blot out pain. Or at least I do, then it became a habit. I find less a hold onto overeating when my thoughts are kinder, like, why is it I want to ingest food to the point of not feeling anything else but too full? What can I do or give myself that will fill that yearning or need? It may be kinder self-talk, or something to do with my hands or head because I’m bored, or something as simple as water which sometimes comes across as hunger rather than thirst.
